In order to ensure that resolutions can be resolved as quickly and smoothly as possible it seems necessary to have a system in place to resolve any tie votes that may occur in an expedient matter. With that in mind I propose the following: In the event of a tie vote in the Main Council the council chair shall cast a tie breaking vote. The council chair shall vote when the other representatives vote, and shall disclose that vote to the first representative who votes. Only in the case of a tie shall the chair's vote be counted. In the event of a tie vote on a fleet wide resolution, the MC shall vote on all options which received the highest number of votes. OUTCOME Gateway: aye Stardate 2.50920.0000 |
