Resolution 0508: Open Fleet Admin Positions
RES 0508
Proposed by Melissa Matos
FILLING EMPTY FLEET POSITIONS:
Deputy Chair, dJAG, dCOO, CEO
I am most concerned about filling the deputy positions listed above, as
they all perform a good volume of work (or they have in the past).
Please encourage your crew to apply for these positions, and if you
have any more information as to what each position does, please send
that around to everyone as well.
Deputy Chair- assist the MC chair, as well as head up the alternate
council when needed
dCOO- processes new character applications, the first contact with new
players
dJAG- assists the JAG in the interpretation of the rules of the FRPG
CEO- approves new technology requested or created by players that would
affect the entire game (ie, GATEWAY's refit)
I propose that we try to have a list of candidates within the next two
weeks, preferably in one week if that is possible. We would then have a
week to discuss the candidates (if there are more than one for each
position) and put the people up for a vote.
COMPLETE LIST OF OFFICES WITH DESCRIPTIONS
In the interest of clarity, I would also like to approve the following
list of Fleet positions and their descriptions:
(If there is a feeling that any of these roles are not needed or need
to be redefined, please draft a new res about all of those proposed
changes and we will handle it later.)
FLEET POSITIONS
| Chair: Melissa Matos |
Overseeing Resolutions and voting on Main Council, Fleet-wide email detailing passed resolutions. |
| dChair: Open |
|
| JAG: Rahul Chandra |
|
| dJAG: Open |
|
| CEO: Open |
Monitors advancing technology on old and new ships, keeping it in line
with "Trek" tech; helping the COO and dCOO with upkeep of the FRPG
fleets listed under the old ops part of the website. |
| CSO: Sean O'Neill |
|
| CMO: Open |
|
| COC: Justin Chow |
Maintenance of the FRPG website, including updates as directed by admin heads. |
| dCIO: Dan King |
Assists the COC as necessary. |
| Archivist: Joy Phillips |
Archives all posts, making sure no span gets into the archives . |
| DACT: Steve Peterson |
The DACT is the chair of the ACTC and thus coordinates
ACT resolutions,
the
approval of cadets once brought forward from
operations, and requests
for
reentry when forwarded (such as the case of Francois
Charette). DACT
also
assembles and updates ACT books for each class, puts
finishing touches
on who
is in a class and what deck that class is assigned to.
DACT also works
for
new ways to attract cadets (where to advertise, etc),
and maintains and
recruits new ACTis. |
| dDACT: Ran Sabrinathan |
The dDACT fills in and aid the DACT where necessary.
Further, dDACT is
primarily charged with coordinating the schedules of
instructors--one
senior
and two junior--to match the requirements of an ACT
class. This is
more
difficult than it sounds as a rule we try and keep
instructors all from
separate vessels. |
| COO: Peter Aspinall |
COO monitors all the ACT classes, central data hub for all the unit
CO's to send their crew lists too, keeps track of any JAG rulings or
people conflicts so people aren't assigned where they shouldn't be,
responsible for any and all transfer requests, second character
requests, speaks to and places all cadets once they graduate the ACT
classes and watches their posts for the first few weeks/months to check
they haven't any problems in the unit, fleet-wide email detailing
transfers, new assignments, and general class information. |
| dCOO: Open |
Keeps in contact with new applicants, approves new applications, keeps
track of new bios for ACT classes, keeps track of applications as they
are approved or notifies of needed corrections. |
