Promotions for the COs of the DISCOVERY, GATEWAY, PATRIOT, and PROPHECY and Award for Taylor Williams -- Legion of Honor Note: This resolution was dealt with in the ExO Council. =/\= Promotion of Jerome McKee's Character I would like to put forth a request for your consideration: The promotion of Jerome McKee's character Michael Turlough Kane to the rank of Captain. Jerome McKee has been an incredible asset to the DISCOVERY, devoting his time and effort to her even during times where many thought that our Unit would go bottom up, and pulling her through to a point where I can say with certainty that the DISCOVERY is radically changing directions from what it was at the beginning of the year, or even the beginning of the summer. It is thus, with an eye towards the amount of work and devotion that Jerome has shown, that I would like to have his character promoted to full Captain RESULT: PASSED, 6-0 with 1 abstain =/\= Promotion of Britt Larsen's Character I've written and worked with Britt for almost 12 months now. In that time she has worked almost tirelessly to keep her crew happy. For the past at least six months, she has had to work almost completely on her own with no support from an ExO, and still she managed to hold the ship together. The GATEWAY has suffered a lot of losses, with writers leaving as well in the past couple of months, and each time Britt has risen to that challenge and coped magnificently. Britt was promoted to Commander on 6th May 2002. It is her continuing devotion to the GATEWAY and her crew, that leads me to request that Britt be promoted to the rank of Captain. NOTE: This promotion is also supported by Fran Churchard (CO-USS SUTTNER, CEO-GATEWAY STATION) and Davo Wells RESULT: PASSED, 6-0 with 1 abstain =/\= For the promotion of Laura Tegner's character RESULT: PASSED, 6-0 with 1 abstain =/\= For the promotion of Ranjani Sabarinathan's character: I'd like to submit Ranjani Sabarinathan's name for promotion from Commander to Captain. Ran has held the position of Commander since January 2003 and has been CO slightly longer than that. Shortly after her promotion I joined the USS PROPHECY and have had the privilege and pleasure of not only watching her be CO but work along side her. She truly gives herself over to the crew, constantly working on ways to make the ship better and its crew happy. The job of CO is more than just posting, as I think most would agree, but its being a leader in all senses of the word--leading by example, devotion to the well-being of the crew, and having to make hard decisions about the ship. The position of CO then is not an easy one yet Ran does it with an ease and grace that I can only admire. She's done all this and more and it is because of all these reasons and many, many more that I think Ran should be promoted to Captain. Colonel Brett Maverick RESULT: PASSED, 6-0 with 1 abstain =/\= Amandement of RES 0323 Submitted by: Sabrina Jones, ExO USS AVALON I would like to offer an amendement to RES 0323 in order to include Michael Reed's character of Commander James Simmons to the list of promotions to Captain. Michael has been instrumental and a driving force to see the resurrection of the AVALON during this past year. Not only as the ship been brought back from the brim of none existence, the crew having posted only 3 times in all of January, but the AVALON is now second in overall posting. The crew has become very eager to each new mission that is presented, every player now participating as much as they can thanks to his leadership, guidance and encouragements. The promotion is very well deserved. RESULT: PASSED, 4-3 =/\=
