DRAFTER: Steve Peterson, USS PROPHECY/DACT PROBLEM: Currently both the DACT and dDACT hold the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade on their primary characters. The technical requirements for holding an ACTi position require that one’s primary character hold the rank of Lieutenant. As it is sometimes necessary for the DACT or dDACT to teach an ACT class, this presents a problem. SOLUTION: It is proposed that the DACT and/or dDACT be granted waivers to this requirement so that they may create instructor characters in the event that they are needed for an ACT class. These characters will be the same ones that would technically represent the DACT/dDACT positions. COMMENTS: In my first go-round in the game, I was a senior ACTi and CO of the NOVA/GATEWAY. And as DACT, there has at least been an apparent belief that I am qualified to lead the training efforts of the FRPG. This probably will not be a problem too much longer in the simple terms that both Joy and myself will not remain as Lt. JG’s forever, but in the case that there is an emergency and one of us is needed to fill a ACTi role I believe it prudent that a decision about this be made. Note: This resolution was passed on to the ExO Council for voting. Votes: For dDACT: Outcome: Passed/closed. The current DACT and dDACT will be allowed to create ACTi characters, regardless of the rank they hold on their primary characters.
