Starfleet 'Class A' Semi-Formal Mess Dress Uniform
Starfleet 'Class A' Semi-Formal Mess Dress Uniform:
More formal uniform for situations where a Duty uniform isnt appropriate, yet neither is full formal wear. Often used in Officer promotions and other military ceremonies. Also used for formal staff dinners, or delegate dinners where weapons might be needed as they incorporate internal pockets for type-1 phasers. Rank is designated by stripes of departmental color on the sleeves. Ribbons can be worn 1" beneath the combadge over the left breast.

Formal Dress Uniforms for such occasions that warrant it. Often used by senior staffs in first contact situations or formal diplomatic dinners. Officer Rank is designated by polished bright pips located on the right side at the top of the uniform flap. Enlisted Rank is designated by departmental colored stripes on each sleeve shoulder. Naval Officer Uniforms are white with departmental color on the left extending across the flap. Naval Enlisted Uniforms are grey with silver trim, and departmental color on the left extending across the flap. Both Naval formal uniforms wear black trousers, officers with gold trim, enlisted with silver.
Marine Officer uniforms are black with dark blue trousers. Officers have gold trim on their uniforms, Enlisted with red. Officer rank is designated by polished bright insignia located on the right top edge of the flap. Enlisted have stripes on each sleeve Shoulder. Located on the lower left sleeve are service stripe. Gold for Each 5 years of service, silver for each 1 year. Enlisted uniforms have Red for 5 year service and grey for 1 year. Officers carry a SMFC approved sword in sheath for ceremonial purposes. These weapons can be functional or just display at the Officer's discresion. Both officer and enlisted have a red sash around the waist. Covers are optional at unit commander's discretion.
For all dress uniforms, Ribbon bar is located 1" below the combadge over the left breast. Uniform medals are located 2" below the upper edge of the uniform flap over the right breast.
