Resolution 2003-04: COO Involvement in Creation of 2nd Characters
PROBLEM:
COO is not consulted in the creation of Second characters and often is
the last to know of the assignment. This creates difficulty in keeping
track of open slots in FRPG units and makes it more difficult for the
COO to carry out his/her duties.
SOLUTION:
The COO must be added to consultations with the writer wishing to create
a new character, the writer's primary CO, and the proposed new CO.
COO must have a say in assignment as he/she is responsible for tracking
FRPG unit personnel changes, rules, regulations, and general operational
harmony of player distribution throughout the game. Before any assignment
becomes official or is announced by a CO, COO will first make and approve
the assignment.
RESULTS IF PASSED:
4th point added to 2nd character creation rules (MC Res
0101 / Res
0309) saying "COO must be consulted as to assignment." [It
is the opinion of the DACT that this falls within ACTC governance and
therefore this decision can be made binding, if the MC deems that it is
not, then the "Recommendation to MC" will be submitted to the
MC as soon as it can be entered into the queue.]
RECOMMENDATION TO MC:
2nd character regulations (Res
0101 / Res
0309) be amended to add a fourth point to the second character creation
requirements as listed in Res0101. This point is "COO must be consulted
as to assignment."
