Resolution 2003-01: Entry Requirements to Add a Cadet to Existing ACT Class

Three different situations:

1. Cadet has been a previous member of FRPG

2. Cadet is new to FRPG but previously went through part of an ACT class including 'formatting' instruction

For situation 1, experience will need to be verified by existing FRPG member/members that were crewmates.

For situation 2, experience will need to be verified by previous class Senior or Junior Instructor.

If previous experience exists, then the cadet can be admitted if there will be 3 (three) days between admittance of the new cadet and entrance of the existing class into the holodeck environment. This will allow the admitted cadet to write at least one post to the existing class and receive feedback on the 'formatting' area of the instruction.

The timetable of entrance to the holodeck should not be changed to accomidate the new cadet. If the new cadet fails to write a post before entrance to the holodeck, the cadet is dropped from the class and moved to the next available class.

Admittance will need to be approved by DACT and existing class Senior Instructor. If either objects, then the cadet is moved to the next available ACT class.

3. Cadet is new to FRPG

There will need to be 7 (seven) days between admittance of the new cadet and entrance of the existing class into the holodeck environment. This will allow the admitted cadet to write at least two posts to the existing class and receive feedback on the 'formatting' area of the instruction.

The timetable of entrance to the holodeck should not be changed to accomidate the new cadet. If the new cadet fails to write a (one) post before entrance to the holodeck, the cadet is dropped from the class and moved to the next available class.

4. Once an ACT class has entered the holodeck, the class roster is closed. An exception can only be made if approved by all members of the ACTC, and the existing class Senior Instructor.

Outcome: The resolution was passed with 4 yes votes.
